The coolest detail in the movie is when it starts with a propaganda piece where it shows new defense system at Moon destroying asteroids and later in the movie it does nothing. So is it all a lie or they just wanted to destroy their own city to have a reason to invade Klendathu

They just replaced the cockpit of the original plane to the cockpit of the plane that they wanted to he in the movie.

After 2015 Ike Perlmutter was fired by Disney Kevin Feige is pretty much a single creative cheaf of the company. And it's really didn't change much.
