Your sister’s Labrador was the exception, not the rule. Aggression towards other animals can happen in all breeds but in pit bulls it’s literally part of the breed standard.

Per the breed standard she was. No one is arguing that pit bulls that exhibit no animal aggression don’t exist, but it’s clear that they aren’t in the majority.

Dogs attack other dogs, yes. But not every dog was selectively bred for the purpose of fighting and killing other dogs for sport. Pit bulls are genetically prone to dog aggression

Shelters are notorious for labeling pits as anything other than a pit to get them adopted faster. If anything, this skews data in favor of pit bulls. Just take a look at all the “lab mixes” for adoption.
That pic only included the pit, but the other dog looks like a GSD.

Zachary Willis, who rescued pit bulls, also believed dog behavior is dependent on the owners and how the dog is raised.
He was mauled and killed by his own pit bull 5 years after this post was made.

That’s exactly how you get them to release, use the collar to cut off their air supply. Trying to pull them away while clamped down just causes horrible injuries to the victim

It’s not even bite power, GSDs have a similar bite strength. It is a combination of their biting style and gameness: they clamp down and refuse to release while simultaneously thrashing their heads side to side. This tears flesh and causes devastating injuries

Anyway, not sure where you’re even getting the boxer mix from. All the stories I’ve read labeled it as a “mixed breed”, which we all know is code for pit/pit mix in the animal shelter world

I absolutely despise pitbulls and believe every one of them should be euthanized.
A couple of years ago I went to my employee's 2-year-old son's funeral after the families long time babysitter's three pit bulls ripped him in half.

Austin animal center will not disclose that this dog that has killed another dog unless you’re a potential foster/adopter. Just look at the difference between the adoption page vs the owner surrender report.
Never trust a shelter to be upfront about behavior.

No one would classify that dog as a pit bull, that’s very clearly a bull terrier. Let’s stop pretending most people don’t know what a pit looks like, even the Supreme Court ruled that a person of average intelligence is capable of recognizing a pit bull.
