What is in the beakers? Looks like a strong cup of coffee. Smells like a warm hug. When you don't have any cider apples, you can add depth to the cider by using adjuncts. These are tannins extracted from two different types of oak! @tamutamutanzani #applecider #tanzania

For the last 3 months I have been working with @tamutamutanzani to develop the first apple cider in East Africa made wholly from apples. Yesterday we had the first carbonated sample!

@ZJAyres I feel like short term RA contracts in the area of interest would be a similar level of figuring out if you like research while getting a better wage than I expect a pre-doc would

@jdpereira @comp_phys_mark Certainly not US only. In Australia we see people hired and fired based off immediate needs without thought to where research fields are shifting towards.

@TaraLynC @caitecassidy Yeah my thinking was visa related. But I certainly agree with the fact that they would be suffering the most, especially those who do it with families.

@TaraLynC @caitecassidy I would certainly have preferred to pay tax and contribute to my super. I suspect much of the reason for the current set up is to make it easier for international students.
