@Darkminer71 And so I can refinance my house again and make one of the best rate moves ever. Bought in 2019. Rates dropped and we got a 1.99%. then sold in 2021 and bought a house twice the price but at 5%. House price has gone up 20%. Anything around 4 will be a steal.

@FinPhilosopher @Blind__Luck Bump up. People are always happy when elections are over. And maybe something with end of year bonuses.

@FreedomFinLB Put my annual bonus in ETFs, but everything else is going to the down payment. Hoping for some dropping rates soon.

@Blind__Luck @FinPhilosopher I've got a 5% savings account right now which is where most of mine is going. I think this coming year will be a good bump in the market after elections.

@DividendKingTSX Really hoping in the next 5 years. Wife is finishing school this year at the same time son is going to kindergarten so we'll add an income and super charge retirement savings.

Going on an 8 day vacation really super charges me to hit my investing goals. Annual bonus hits in a few weeks. $$$ This is where we max out 3 of 4 retirement accounts.

@whitneyhansenco This January month is a good time to be reminded of your goals. Especially if someone's wife is taking a Finance208 class at a certain blue school. 😂😂😂

My 2024 investing plan: I pick a dollar amount to invest as a % of my estimated income for the year. I work feverishly to hit that number as fast as possible. The rest of the year, I invest if I feel like it. My wife calls it ripping the band aid off. This year we hit ~$70K

@matthew2point0 @FinPhilosopher Not much control in renting to reduce costs. The trick is finding a home that makes the math better to own (not as easy today) The govt owning the land on your free and clear home meaning you don't own it so why even buy. Now that is the worst one I hear.

@almostbrenda @KerntheFern How do you know if you want a dog? Or want to go to Hawaii? You do some research and you weigh what you will be sacrificing (your sanity) and who you want to be. It's not for everyone but it's incredibly rewarding beyond my other things I've done.
