Some great stuff on this ‘behind the scenes’ LUFC footage from 1938. Men in white coats showing the players how to kick a ball while smoking roll-ups and captain Jack Milburn looks like an early convert to the Weston Mckennie diet! #LUFC #LeedsUnited #MOT #Leeds @leeds_snippets

Leeds 3 Chester 1, FA cup 3rd round 1938. 37,000 at Elland Road to see Jack Milburn lead Leeds to victory in the first ever meeting between the clubs. Some good footage of what looks like the boys pen on a misty afternoon in LS11. #LUFC #LeedsUnited #MOT #ALAW

Leeds 2 Swansea 0 Jan 82. A rare Stevenson goal and a poachers effort from @aidan_08 in a goalmouth that looks like it’s been tarmaced! Whatever happened to Aidan, he just disappeared off here? #80sLeeds #LUFC #LeedsUnited #MOT #ALAW

A few people have mentioned this so here’s the Auf Wiedersehen Pet clip with a Giles and Bremner reference. Strange one this, as it was from the 80s when we were in the 2nd division and Bill and Johnny playing was a distant memory. Never forgotten though. #LUFC #70sLeeds #ALAW

May 1987- a cold, wet Sunday lunchtime at Boundary Park. Leeds defending a 1-0 win in the first leg somehow manage to go 2 down in the 89th minute. Cue a very late Keith Edwards goal and confusion over whether we’d won or it was Extra Time or penalties! #80sLeeds #LUFC #MOT

Everyone associates the 1970 FA cup final with the start of the ‘Dirty Leeds’ tag from the London press, but our previous Wembley visit for the 1968 League Cup final was a bit tasty too… #LUFC #60sLeeds #LeedsUnited #LS65 #MOT

Leeds 2 Sunderland 0, October 89. Footage from the classic ‘Race for the Title’ video- still the best end of season video ever in my opinion. Some nice footage of the South Stand and Lowfields in a season when both were always bouncing! #80sLeeds #LUFC #LeedsUnited #MOT #ALAW

Coventry 3 Leeds 3, May 1993. An eventful last game of the season at Highfield Road- a Wallace hat-trick, a parachutist visiting the away end and a pitch invasion which if I remember right got a bit lively when Coventry fans joined in! #LUFC #LeedsUnited #90sLeeds #MOT #ALAW

Chelsea in the cup then…in the week we found out that the Krays ‘influenced’ referee Ken Burns before the 67 semi final, resulting in 2 disallowed Leeds goals and a subsequent Chelsea-Spurs final. Could it be an omen? Revenge at last…? #LUFC #LS65 #60sLeeds #LeedsUnited #MOT

Just came across this footage- Stoke v Leeds Sept 75. Some great shots of the away end but I was surprised at the blue shorts- don’t remember a yellow/blue away combo back then? How many times did we wear that? @RobertEndeacott @FollowMeAndLUFC @LUSCarborough #LUFC #LeedsUnited

Leeds 3 Birmingham 0, Sept 1973. Hat trick for Lash at the start of the 74 title winning season. One of the 1st games after the pitch was moved, leaving a big space at the scratching shed end, great for sun-bathing ballboys! #LUFC #70sLeeds #LeedsUnited #MOT #ALAW

@TheSquareBall loved the pod ‘the smells of Elland Road’ however you missed the best smell. The Old souvenir shop had a distinct musty smell. Still has a hint of it as a ticket pick up point.

Stolen off Facebook-great iconic kit but I always hated the peacock badge. Best for me was the smiley with the words round it, closely followed by the original yellow away kit, blue and white arm stripes and plain yellow smiley. #LUFC #LeedsUnited #70sLeeds
