I love this photo of the Lowfields in the early 70s. The angle makes you feel you’re there- you can almost smell the bovril, 2nd hand ale and cigs. Takes me back to when I was a kid and we’d been in 2 hours before kick off to get a place on the wall.

Strange tale prompted by the photo of (maybe) Reg Kray sat 2 rows behind the Leeds bench at Wembley 65.Semi final v Chelsea 1967,ref Ken Burns disallows 2 Leeds goals and later admits he was pressured by the Krays,who he was photographed with an hour before kick off (apparently!)

Used to love a visit to Maine Road in the 80s. Think this was the last season they had the benches in the away end. Looks like it was all standing anyway on this footage!
