An update, they’ve given me painkillers to ensure we keep on top of any pain and just had some toast and a cuppa which tasted like nectar. Just got the feeling back in my legs and can move my toes which is great. I’ll admit I daren’t look out of the window in case I saw a magpie!

For those following my husband Phillip’s battle with cancer (Captain). We’ve had some good news this week as the immunotherapy treatment has reduced his tumour by 30 percent. A big relief and he’s here for a while longer.

After a 9 hour hospital visit with my husband yesterday, it was touch and go whether I would make it to the game today. When you have someone with a terminal illness we feared the worst, but it was such a relief to learn his cancer hadn’t spread.

A bit of good news for those following my husband Phillip’s/Captain’s terminal cancer diagnosis. Went to the hospital for his scan results. Good news, the main tumour has shrunk a bit more lymph nodes are stable. They are really pleased and he will continue on immunotherapy.

As a family we are heartbroken as we announce the sad loss of our beautiful mum/Oma/Omi, Helga Gleissner. She will leave a big hole in our lives, but it is a great comfort to know she has now gone to join our dad/Opa/Opi once again and is now at peace. Wir lieben dich sehr viel.

Just an update on my baby granddaughter. She managed to complete the 7 days of iv antibiotics and the line has been taken out. Her infection levels are back in the normal range for the first time in weeks so here’s hoping this time, it doesn’t come back!
