Labour lied to you. Read the first sentence. The first bloody sentence!!
"Labour would freeze gas and electricity prices immediately to give people breathing space over the winter".
BREAKING: Households will be facing higher energy bills this winter as Ofgem raises its price cap by 10%

So we're trapped in the UK. This isn't a Union of equals. This isn't a Union of consent. If Scotland has the right to self-determination, how does Scotland exercise that right?

An opinion poll released yesterday shows that the
#SNP
are now up to 60%. Also yesterday, Yoons tried to get
#ResignSturgeon
trending. The Yoons are hurting 😂😂. Sturgeon is the best political leader Britain has seen for a very long time.
@LizzieLabour
Hi, I'm a nurse in Scotland. Thanks to the SNP, I have more of a disposable income after tax than my counterparts in Labour run Wales and Tory run England. We also have more hospital beds, nurses, junior doctors, and GPs per head of population thanks to the SNP. Best A&Es too.
That's me done. I've voted. If you agree with me, that's cool. If you don't agree with me, that's also cool. I'm not going to fall out with anyone over it. I'll get behind and support whichever candidate wins the
#SNPLeadershipElection

I have nothing against Ash Regan leaving the SNP for Alba. That's her decision, and I both respect and understand her decision. I do, however, think that whenever an elected politician leaves one political party for another, there should automatically be a by-election.
Unison are balloting members on their Political Fund Ballot, held every 10 yrs. I'm voting No because the Labour Party is the biggest benefactor of this fund. Labour is keeping the two child cap & keeping children in poverty. They're also in cahoots with private health companies.
I know some of my SNP pals won't agree with me, but I'm thinking that Ash Regan will be the candidate I'll be backing. And it's purely for Indy reasons. Her 50%+1 at an election plan for Indy has my support. As does collaboration between all pro-indy parties & organisations 🏴✌️.
Happy St George's Day to all those celebrating. I think it would be brilliant if England were to become an independent county once again. Not enough people discuss English independence.
@mlk_scots
I know many Rangers fans who support indy tbf. At the end of the day, Rangers is a football club, not a political movement. There's nothing wrong with supporting indy and being a Rangers fan. We need more Rangers fans in the indy movement.
@STVNews
I'm English and I've lived in Scotland just shy of five years. In that time, I've not once experienced anti-English sentiment.
That's not technically true, I've had the odd Unionist on twitter telling me to move back to England for supporting Indy. But offline, IRL, not once.
It's wonderful reading people's stories on the
#NoToYes
hashtag. I lived in England in 2014, and I rightly didn't get a vote, but I supported the Union back then. I've lived in Scotland for three years, and I'm now a member of the SNP. You can count on me for a yes vote

@MikeyTheBuddie
I find it funny how I, an Englishman, get labelled a 'Scottish nationalist' for believing that Scotland should be a normal county. But I don't get labelled a 'nationalist' for believing that Kurdistan, Palestine, Taiwan, and Tibet should be normal countries.
I'm chuckling at my twitter feed from all the people criticising Kate Forbes and Ash Regan for requesting the SNP to publish membership figures, then being totally perplexed to discover that Humza Yousaf's team has done the exact same thing 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@MillieCheesey
Jimmy Carr and Ricky Gervais are two of the biggest comedians ever. Like, I get if they're not your cup of tea, but Rosie Jones and James Acaster will never be as big and successful. They're in a different league.
Beer pumps, abolition of slavery, Sean Bean, Judi Dench, Patrick Stewart, Yorkshire Puddings, Brontë Sisters, Association Football, Rugby League, Stainless Steel, Bonfire Night, KitKats, the Rhubarb Triangle, Yorkshire AND Tetley Tea.

I'm now thinking of voting for Kate Forbes in the
#SNPLeadershipElection
. She's not perfect, and I disagree with her on some issues, but in my opinion, I think that she's the best of the three candidates. I'll of course, get behind whoever wins ✌️🏴.

That's the tweet
I don't know who needs to hear this but

Good morning to everyone except X
Thoughts and prayers
Or people just begging for followers.
@TelePolitics
As one of the many English members of the SNP, I can honestly say I've not once experienced anti-English sentiment within the SNP or at any Indy event. Only a tiny extreme minority hold such views and they're not representative of the SNP or the Indy movement.

As someone who grew up in rural Yorkshire, lived in rural North Wales, and currently lives in the rural Western Highlands, I can't say that I agree with you about the attitudes of people in the countryside. Racist/Sexist violence is much more common place in cities and towns.
@carolvorders
What's the point in getting rid of the Tories to only replace them with a Tory tribute act? Sir Kid 'I don't care if I sound like a Tory' Starver will undoubtedly win the next GE. And then he'll be out again at the following GE. We'll be back at square one with no real change!
Labour have been saying that they will abolish the House of Lords for over a century, so it's no surprise that they're backtracking once again. This is yet another U-turn from Sir Kid Starver. The red Tories don't offer any real change from the status quo.
@CrimeLdn
1). Why aren't they wearing masks and practicing social distancing?
2). Why aren't the police being violent towards them? This is normal procedure is such circumstances right?
3). This is extremely weird!
If Nicola Sturgeon is to announce her resignation, then that is a great shame. I can't think of a more professional and respectful political leader during the 21st century. But perhaps it is time to pass on the torch to a successor. The fight for
#IndyRef2
continues!
@GrayInGlasgow
For context.
In the UK, £3.4Bn of Scotland's money is spent on military.
The Irish military budget is €780Mn for 2020.
I imagine an iScotland would require a military budget similar to that of Ireland's.
@msm_monitor
Kudos! Well said 👏 Far too much tribalism going on. I can proudly say that I've not said one negative thing about any of the three candidates. I've tried to remain positive throughout. Unfortunately, others haven't and I wish they had.
@LizzieLabour
I also don't have to pay anything towards hospital parking thanks to the SNP. I'm extremely concerned about what Wes Streeting has said about the role of the private sector and the NHS. Looking at the Welsh NHS, I have little confidence in Labour when it comes to the NHS.
It's ridiculous how Labour can double their number of MPs with a 1.5% increase of the vote share. FPTP is an awful and broken system. This general election has demonstrated that Proportional Representation is required. It won't happen though.

I too am a historian. Archeology is the study of human activity. What you should be using is palaeontology. Palaeontological excavations prove that life existed hundreds of millions of years ago.
@NoContextBrits
I'm vegan, and I think it's ludicrous that people enforce vegetarianism and plant based diets on their carnivore/ omnivore pets. I think it's animal cruelty and, therefore, it goes against the principles of veganism.
@Wass2020
True story this. I was once on a bus in England and all the locals were speaking English which made the tourists feel unwelcome. Locals negative attitude towards tourism.
@vivaluvegan
I once saw a tweet saying something along the lines of "You should always trust a junk food vegan because you know they're definitely in it for the animals" and I loved that tweet ✌️.
Scottish Labour, which describes itself as "Scotland's democratic socialist party," isn't Scottish, Democratic, Socialist, or a Party in its own right.
I used to love Twitter aka X, but it's now become a cesspit. I'm genuinely contemplating deactivating my account. Is anyone else thinking of doing the same? I wouldn't describe my last six months on X as a positive experience, so why would I stick around?
@aziz0nomics
One of the cardinal principles of international law is 'the right to self-determination'. If England, Wales and NI get a say on Scotland's independence, then Scotland isn't deciding for itself and is therefore being deprived of self-determination.
Today, the English electorate will decide that Starmer and his Red Tories will win
