Yes! Run FAST! Sprint with INTENT!
Don’t let “lack of space” be a constraint in your Speed Training Program. The science says max speed begins to detrain ≈ 5 days of not sprinting near max velocity. If you go all winter without sprinting fast, YOU WILL GET SLOWER. Most athletes do not have access to indoor facilities or year-round warm weather. If you do, great.. Go sprint. If you do not: ▪️Reserve gym space at school ▪️Find a long hallway ▪️Use a treadmill (not ideal but better than not sprinting) ▪️Suck it up and get your ass outside. The reward will be worth it. 2 speed sessions/week Dec-Mar ≈ 32 SESSIONS! Think of the advantage this creates.
