So had chemo today and very few things sound appetizing. Add to that I have diabetes so have to watch the sugar when carbs are what I crave...add to that I was in hospital for half of August with small bowel blockage so there is another list of foods I can't eat.. @ThanksCancer

A glimmer of hope, carcinomies. At my insistence onc added Avastin back to my infusion. CEA did not rise for first time in a while. We gotta self advocate! (It had been d/c due to all my intestinal obstructions) Modified my diet and haven't had one in 3+ mo. Pushed hard and won!

Some of us may occasionally post something disparaging about muggles....maybe we are having a bad day of chemo side effects, perhaps we are coming to term with our own mortality, or it was just a moment...this may be the only safe place we can unload and then move on.

I like to share my story as it wasn't the typical one. I dutifully had my colonoscopies and was given the all clear...however, my colon was a real loop-the-loop roller coaster so they didn't get all the way around. They did a virtual imaging in 2017 - no concern
