BENIGN test results! I have uterine polyps caused by Tamoxifen and ovarian cysts. But ZERO cancer and it can be taken care of in a simple procedure. My dr called me the second she got the results. I can't tell you how much that meant to me :-)

A couple things to remember about

patients. Everyone looks outwardly different as they go through and recover from treatment. I cold capped during treatment and kept 50% of my hair. Steroids during chemo made me gain weight. We’re all different. Choose kindness 😊

My doctor mycharted me at 5:45 tonight to let me know neurology thinks the white matter brain lesions are not concerning. They want to repeat the MRI in a year to be safe but this is really great news 😊 And I’m grateful for providers who take time to listen to their patients 💙
Well, not exactly clear scans but no signs of metastatic cancer 🥳. Of course a bit on edge until my neurologist reviews this next week but overall relieved about the results. Thankful that I was finally taken seriously and allowed to get this done.

Successful oncologist appointment. Changing from Tamoxifen to OS combined with an AI. It will be a major medication adjustment and will have its own side effects. But will hopefully stop me from getting ovarian cancer from the tamoxifen. Yay for rare side effects

One of the hardest physical side effects of chemo for me is foot neuropathy. When I get out of bed it feels like walking on hot coals. Or after long walks I’m in pain for days. Grateful to still be here to walk but I want my good feet back 😭

After a scare from last week's MRI, I'm happy to share my neurologist met with me yesterday and told me good news: clear results 🥳First read showed a lesion suspected to be MS. We ruled that out and now have a good plan to address my headaches. Yay!

Update: we got results before we left & it's UNREMARKABLE 🥳The pre scan valium helped so much & I didn't get super uncomfortable until the last few minutes. I still have a 2"x1.5" post surgical seroma which hurts a lot but isn't worrisome for

Tomorrow is annual breast MRI day. I’m getting sedation this time because it’s so uncomfortable and mentally triggering. Fingers crossed it’s clear and I don’t have a panic attack in the middle of it 🤞😊🎗️
