Some much needed good news from the office of @GovernorHobbs. Congratulations, Justice Maria Elena Cruz!
She is the daughter of working class parents who came to Arizona and worked hard to give her a better life. For 32 years, she has called Yuma County home. After 113 years, she will be the first Latina and the first Black Arizonan to serve on the Arizona Supreme Court.

CJ Roberts did not announce that the term ends tomorrow, as is typical on the penultimate opinion day, so the Court is probably adding an opinion day to the calendar (likely Monday). If so, my 💵 is on Grants Pass coming out tomorrow, Trump and Loper (Chevron) next week.
Another day has come and gone without a decision in #JohnsonVGrantsPass. June 28 is the last scheduled opinion day of the year, with 6-7 opinions remaining. It's possible SCOTUS will announce more days for next week. Stay informed with @HNHCampaign:

Massachusetts has the lowest incarceration rate in the U.S., but the U.S. puts so many people in cages that Massachusetts is 20% higher incarceration rate than Saudi Arabia, 50% higher than China, 100% higher than France, and 700% higher than Japan.

Ironically, the "common law judging approach" is actually what the people who wrote the Constitution thought judges were supposed to do. That orgininalism as a judicial methodology is itself anti-originalist drives me insane.
