More than 10,000 expensive, traumatizing sweeps have happened in NYC since @NYCMayor took office, and yet homelessness just keeps getting worse. Facts are facts. Sweeps don't work. The city must abolish all policies criminalizing homelessness and invest in #HousingNotHandcuffs.

No serious person thinks throwing people in jail solves homelessness. After the morally bankrupt SCOTUS decision, our elected officials must protect the rights that SCOTUS gutted and fund programs, like housing, that solve homelessness.
Housing, not handcuffs, will end homelessness.
