Just been to local farm shop: Local new potatoes, French beans from their own greenhouse, strawberries, raspberries, asparagus, new carrots... Plus a couple of orchid pink geraniums which said buy me. Less expensive than most supermarkets and grown with love.

I know but have noticed that there are a growing number of really excellent farmers markets in London and other big cities with many growers making the journey in from all over the country : long may they continue. Hopefully more community gardens too.

What on earth has happened to Bournemouth in recent years. Run down, scruffy and all the decent retail moved into Poole. It used to be such a good place to be.

Some had no choice of they weren't an essential retail business which had to close. No sales, no pay... Furlough was essential for many.

So after just over 2 hours the toppers are all out .. had lots of lovely comments from passer bys and a few strange looks at what we were doing 😂

I remember a few years ago, there was a lovely lady who used to sit on our circular bus route for a few journeys: not to keep warm, but just to have a chat with everyone. it was a bit like a club in our retirement centric town.

Went down to Felixstowe Ferry 9.30 and stayed until 12.15 in hope of seeing the Northern Lights. sadly I was disappointed, not a sign still the starry sky and wispy clouds were still stunning! I think I might have been too late as it was seen at Kirton around 9
