@WifeyAlpha Respect for the hard things that you are doing for the best. Smoking, especially, is VERY hard to quit long term!

@cantpretendtoo @creativebasic @EthicalSkeptic It would have to be hundreds of kilometers in diameter. So, yeah, apart from an interstellar interloper, bodies that size are well catalogued.

@SatsAndSizzle @GeneralpattonS @EthicalSkeptic @creativebasic A micro nova is a putative thermonuclear explosion on a white dwarf star. Irrelevant to a G-type star like the sun. Surface conditions on the sun can’t support significant hydrogen fusion.

@GeneralpattonS @EthicalSkeptic @creativebasic Solar pulses I guess. Whatever those are. Can you use a different, correct, term for what you assert the sun is doing when it “pulses”.

@GeneralpattonS @EthicalSkeptic @creativebasic Your explanation has some truths and combines them applied to weird suggestions. Magnetic field reversals are well established and apparently harmless. Now tell me how ”the whole solar system” is involved.

@EthicalSkeptic @creativebasic I don’t have the numbers on me, but it’s not the sort of thing that would happen in less than geological ages.

@creativebasic @EthicalSkeptic Magnetic polar shifts? Not a catastrophe. Rotational pole reversals? That would take enough energy to melt the earth. There’s no source except a giant impact for that energy, and there are no large enough bodies that come near earth for that.

@bretfebibljesus These are details not required for us to believe and be saved. So the Bible need not contain them.

@BethAnon1 @richimedhurst I pray through Christ, not Mary or saints. Jesus is our conduit to the Father.

@Kevin_McKernan If it cripples science, it will only be the kind of science that is performed with the next government research grant in mind.
