VOPA has facilitated a three-day NRM training for the ward level climate change committee in Elwak. This training is aimed to educate and empower ward climate committees from Elwak North and Elwak South, focusing on climate change adaptation strategies.

Today VOPA convened a meeting for County Steering Groups (CSG) chaired by county commissioner of Mandera to introduce the new INSPIRED program. This initiative aims to enhance communities and ensure equitable educational opportunities across the region.

Through INSPIRED PROGRAMME funded by FCDO ,VOPA conducted a 3 days ECD training for all sub-counties teachers in Mandera.Our Main goal is to improve the foundation learning skills for Kenya Children including of the most marginalized and vulnerable children in the ASALs

In recognition of the complex cross-border dynamics affecting peace and security in the Elwak region, VOPA, through funding from BORESHA-NABAD, has successfully conducted 2 days Conflict Sensitivity Training initiative for elders & local authorities from both Elwak.@BORESHA_HoA

Today, VOPA concluded 2 days of training on conflict sensitivity for cross-border business communities in Banisa. The training was officially opened by Deputy County Commissioner and Sub County Admin for Banisa. The participants were from Mubarak district and Banisa @BORESHA_HoA

Today, we conducted special sessions with ODPP, CPU, children's office, judiciary, both county and national government, office of Gender and Heath GBV focal person to discuss on access to justice for children in conflict with Law in Mandera. @UNDPKenya; @amkeniwakenya WaKenya

We are greatful to our donor @Adam Smith, @Deris Wanaag, for supporting VOPA through DRC to implement Deris Wanaag project in Mandera Triangle. Today we had opportunity to engaged with cross border Traditional leaders for a meaningful cross discussion on social cohesion.

With funds GCERF, VOPA has implemented one day stakeholder inception meeting to introduce ARIVE Program at Granada Hotel in Mandera on 26th Sept 2023. The was attended by key government officials I.e. County and National government.

With financial support from Danish Royal Embassy through @tendasasa , VOPA facilitated one day dessimination of CVE action plan in Mandera. The meeting was attended by CSOs, Community leaders, CECM, CCO, from Mandera County and National government @denmarkinkenya
