@eigenrobot Basically because of how Hindu nationalists want to view Islam, as an invader religion that converted people away from their native belief system. If Hinduism is also just a religion brought by invaders then they can't really maintain the distinction

She's awesome but it's worth noting that she tested 2000 remedies from traditional Chinese medicine that didn't work at all to find one that did
Tu Youyou embarked on an extraordinary mission—to find a cure for malaria. She delved deep into the ancient wisdom of traditional Chinese medicines, finding a powerful anti-malarial that had long been hidden in time. In an act of bravery, she turned to herself as the first subject, risking her own wellbeing to accelerate the drug's development. Because of her remarkable ingenuity and selflessness, we now have a life-saving drug that has been used to treat millions of people, dramatically decreasing the mortality rate. Her legacy is not merely one of scientific discovery; it is a testament to the boundless human spirit. Discover more:

Like 1300 years of people stanning Charles Martel and Leo III is just waiting for his recognition like
"Charles Martel at the Battle of Tours, 732 A.D." Oil on canvas This moment defined the history of Western Civilization. In 732 A.D. the armies of Islam's Umayyad dynasty controlled all of North Africa and had conquered Christian Spain. Their armies invaded southern France next, threatening to overwhelm all of Western Europe. Charles Martel was the Mayor of the Palace for the Frankish kings. He was a seasoned warrior and battlefield commander. In response to the Islamic invasion, he marshalled an army of experienced Frankish infantry & cavalry and intercepted the Muslim forces near Poitiers. The Battle of Tours (Poitiers) was decisive. The Franks withstood repeated Umayyad cavalry charges and then broke through in their own counterattack devastating the enemy and halting the Islamic incursion into Europe. Christendom was saved. Not since 480 B.C. had Western Civilization been in such peril. This painting captures that great victory. It took 10 months to complete. I am a historical artist in the United States. I capture significant moments from history in carefully researched oil paintings for collectors and institutions around the world. This painting of Charles Martel is the first in a series of paintings depicting the Roman Empire, the rise of Christian Europe and the Defense of Western Civilization. I am currently researching subjects for future paintings that will include Constantine the Great at the Battle of Milvian Bridge, The Charge of the Polish Hussars at Vienna and Richard I at the Battle of Arsuf, among many others. My collectors and patrons are the ones who make these paintings possible and for them I am very grateful. This painting of Charles Martel is no longer available, but if you are interested in supporting this work by commissioning a painting, please get in touch. @elonmusk @finkd @chamath @VDHanson @PalmerLuckey @DavidSacks @Culture_Crit @pmarca
