Thanks to funding from @RPB_CAV @C3SC and @WelshGovernment we are able to offering the following to #UnpaidCarers in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. Respite Your Way – Want to treat yourself to a spa day? Fancy a pampering at a salon? Want to improve your physical and mental wellbeing by purchasing some home gym equipment or maybe a pair of running shoes? Want to buy some equipment for your hobby or take up a new hobby? Fancy starting your own vegetable patch? Fancy a 12-month Audible membership or want to add to your book collection? Fancy a meal out or afternoon tea? Your own imagination is the limit. VOICES ADFOCAD are offering grants of up to £200 to enable unpaid carers to take a break in a way that suits them, either with or without the person(s) they care for. We can provide either vouchers or purchase the item(s) on your behalf and have them sent directly to you. We can only make purchases online as we do not have the staff available to visit a store on your behalf. Unfortunately, we are unable to purchase leisure centre/gym membership on your behalf, so these will be excluded from our offer. We are unable to provide cash alternatives or pay any monies into your bank account. Link to application below.

We had a meeting with Nick Andrews from Swansea University yesterday and he has kindly shared with us a tool that can help unpaid carers create a list of talking point on what is important to them prior to having a carers needs assessment.
