Worth reminding everyone that exactly 1/3 of Presidents were VPs (15/45) and 5 out of the last 11! Given the modern primary system, VP is the frontrunner by default. Biden is the perfect example, somebody that wouldn't have had a prayer if not picked as a VP.

The only conceivable scenario is if the non-breeder uses his influence to pressure his large number of siblings and relatives to have a lot more kids. Can't see it on a family basis, but it arguably can work on a community level (Catholics, for example).

People are commenting on how old he looked. People sure looked older in their 50s. I noticed a big change in the 1990s or so. People born in the 1940s didn’t look so old in their 50s.
Despite looking old, Honus live 22 more years and died at the age of 81! 1874-1955.
