After Kenya's independence, all schools with colonial names were asked to change them. When Tom Mboya heard Strathmore might have to do the same, he suggested we say it's not a colonial name like Duke or Duchess. It's just a Scottish word for a valley. The argument worked!

Great things happen when I go to Burundi. Today, it was reaching my 1000km milestone for my Covid Relief runs, plus 2000m elevation gain this month, plus joining Team Eliud
