If you do enough asking around you'll find Africans aren't necessarily closed to the idea of going back to local religions and beliefs I had a talk with a family elder and they talked on how it was outlawed and they never took enough interest to learn more about it, due to stigma.

I feel that my interest in Africa and pan Africanism is quite recent. Like two years ago I just suddenly felt the notion to learn about Nigeria, then africa and when I joined twitter I found about pan Africanism and ifa, it’s as if everything is falling into place.
