the 47 million one-shot casts that require melee kicks in every dungeon make no voice pugging so miserable and every RLP or nokhud above a 15 just disbands because 3 kicks get blown on the first cast and the other 2 players dont have kick talented

clear mechagon for 4-6 weeks, open the weekly m+ box for 3 weeks, do arenas to 1.3-1.6k rating and open that box for 3-5 weeks, and keep up in AP for the new minor slots that keep getting added, just to be competitive. i want to play your game on an alt

one thing that i love about ffxiv is how ultimates have purely cosmetic rewards. sweaty raiders can still have their fill of difficult content while people who want to focus on other aspects of the game/play more alts have lower barrier to entry with gearing.

that reasoning makes sense for damage taken/dps required nerfs but some of these nerfs are just removing the mythic mechanic or nerfing one-shot mechanics. imo 4 difficulties creates pressure for mechanic bloat in a fight and mythic ends up being too easy or too hard

i think damage to bosses on eranog is a better stat to look at for what ellesmere is trying to point out, mostly because eranog is the only fight where some healer can sit there and blast a target dummy for 1 minute without needing to heal much (how most m+ dungeons are)
