Portland ain't rural America. Cities will be mostly fine. $15 is not that far above the natural equilibrium wage in thiso areas. In rural places the economic base simply does not exist. That is why min. wage should be a local issue. 15p/h would do real harm in some places.

No they dont. Maybe if you just look at the champions. But that isn't paity, that's variety. Parity is when every team has a roughly equal opportunity to win. That is not even close to being true in MLB. Spenders can be good nearly every year. Cheap owners have narrow windows.
