When I wasn't in a leadership position yes. Once, in a leadership position, I found other Black folks in leadership were quite dismissive of each other, & almost in competition. The higher the position the more those issues showed.

I spent my summers in rural Mississippi in the 70s & 80s. We were lucky as we didn't have the tin roof homes many did. But we visited homes that did. Ya'll don't know heat until you in a tin roof home when it is over 90 degrees outside & there's nothing but the sun & open fields.

I had an abdominal myomectomy to remove a huge fibroid. This was major surgery. This surgery is similar to a C-Section. I was in the hospital for 6 days & was out of work for 8 weeks post surgery. The miracle of child birth is that the child & person giving birth survive.
