@ZuFutureSurgeon The competition rations have increased significantly since 2018-2022 which is why what I’m saying now is more relevant than it may have been then when competition ratios were less

@ZuFutureSurgeon We will have to agree to disagree, I do believe the first round of applications should be limited to home graduates then can be advertised to IMGs in round 2

@ZuFutureSurgeon Looked into many developed countries as have considered emigrating myself. Looking at specialities like Anaesthetics and Emergency Medicine in particular. The higher acceptance rate into less competitive specialities skews the data and isn’t representative of all specialities

Completed the European Trauma Course today at MAAC RAF Cosford! such an amazing course, venue and faculty. Totally wiped out now though! 😴

@its_chantae If you apply to a specialty in round 2 your score from round 1 gets carried over as long as it was >186 on each paper without the option to retry it to aim for a higher score
