The city of Chicago does not currently have a recall mechanism in place, and there is no statewide law regarding municipal mayoral recalls. Many Illinois municipalities have recall statutes. Chicago could theoretically implement one.

Once upon a time in 1980 a book called “Free to Choose” by Milton Friedman spent 5 weeks at the top of the US best seller list. They made a 10 part series out of it that aired ( and you are going to think I’m making this up) on PBS! They don’t play like that no more.

They knew they could never build at Arlington Park due to the lack of infrastructure. All of the expressways lead downtown; only two go to Arlington. The rail outlook is even more dismal; Arlington would cut out 90% of the network for a one train trip.
