@RichardHanania @DKThomp The NIH tweet does say "effective immediately", but it is unclear whether that means part of the indirect costs in currently active grants will be changed over to direct costs, or if the NIH will claw back that portion of the indirect costs.

@IonaItalia I think that this is correct:
Trump's view seems to be that when there is a market transaction, the seller is always getting one over on the buyer. This explains his view on tariffs. You can see why he thinks this because this is how he has operated through his life. Trump steaks, Trump University, etc.
