Hollywood went all in on streaming, not because it was convenient for viewers, but because it was uncharted legal territory in terms of paying talent. Think about that. Executives making millions are actively looking for ways to get out of paying the people who work for them.
I haven’t acted much as an adult, but I WAS on a recurring character on one of the most critically acclaimed animated shows of all time, as well playing an actual Disney villain.
But thanks to streaming, I have never once made enough to qualify for SAG-AFTRA healthcare.
