By end of 2024 we have now reached over 1.3 million fully electric EV’s on U.K. roads! Now at 3.74% (1 in 27). A bumper 43,656 were registered in Dec 2024 month, that’s 31% of all cars. That’s more cars than were sold in total 2010-2017! The transition is now well under way. Looking forward to more EV’s in 2025 with lots new models coming.

I cannot deny am massively disappointed and disheartened by the way Musk has changed. He was someone I really looked up to and greatly respected. Sadly, I can hardly recognise that person anymore. But that does not mean that Tesla is still not a great company, making brilliant EV’s that are a big contribution to safe driving and lowering carbon emissions. To hate on Tesla or Tesla enthusiasts like you, just because of the behaviour of Musk is inappropriate and unfair. You have always made fantastic content and I hope to continue to watch it.

I do take your points. But another perspective some have thesedays , is they don’t look to car as “ownership” but as a monthly cost for “having a car”, much like paying an electric / gas / internet bill. Sone now choose how much can budget for the fact of “having the car “per month. Then many choose to lease or PCP to that amount per month as a service. Car ownership is not always a value everyone rates important, as it is always such depreciating asset whatever car you get.

Well there are certainly many EVs that come in cheaper than that, especially if looking at ones 1-2 yrs older. Checkout on Autotrader UK under electric as fuel type, a lot great EV deals, in fact I got mine there. I love my Leaf 2021 It was a top spec, limited edition. Ex showroom with 3000 on clock, 56kWh battery and 70kW charging speed. Cost me £30k.
