Story time Need to ship a small package. USPS is close by. I have in hand: package, address package needs delivered to, and card for payment. Get to the clerk. She informs me i must purchase label online... OK I guess. Go to usps website. Don't remember if I've ever set up an account. Use normal log in info. Nothing. OK whatever I'll create an account. Email already used. OK, send me an email with my info. Send username. My standard username. Use username to recover password. Username not recognized. Wtf. Go back and forth a few times with this. Whatever, Use throwaway email to create account. Create label. Pay for label. Have label and info pulled up on phone. Get back to the clerk. "Sorry you need to print the label and put it on the box" "I just saw you print a label for another customer." "That was different. You can go to the library if you want." .... Say fuck this and go to FedEx store. Bring package, address and payment to the counter. Lady takes all three. Transaction over in less than three minutes. Why? @USPS we pay you for a service. Thank you @FedEx I hope Trump and doge come with a wrecking ball at that inept service.
