I disagree with Vance in this but I also disagree with both the judge’s ruling in principle but also the idea that judges have this jurisdiction. So I can’t be deeply disappointed in Vance—two wrongs don’t make a right, but the judge is simply doing something he should not and is not enabled to do, legally, IMO. Would like to see some settlement on this question.

@cenkuygur I don’t think that’s the approach they should be taken, although I agree the judge should not be able to rule on the entire federal government—I think he should be arguing for expediting to the Supreme Court.

Nuff said.
Please @realDonaldTrump and @elonmusk DO NOT STOP until every fraud is exposed and every person that was involved is fired and or in jail. THANK YOU FOR GIVING US THE FIRST REAL TRANSPARENCY OF MY LIFETIME. I have been shouting about this for 2 decades and you guys are killing it. DON’T STOP. Follow the money and the squeals.

@its_The_Dr I think Trump has a pretty good idea. I would not make that assumption if I were him.

@GrageDustin I wonder if they—I mean the people complainants—have a plan. Because I have no doubt the Trump admin expects these suits and has factored them in. Zero doubt. In some cases getting sued and taking it to SCOTUS may be the point.

Love Little Platoon. Not always the quickest on the uptake. But still.
Almost accidentally sending out an SOS to emergency services because you've got a new phone, you still don't know where the volume button is, and some crazy Chinaman thought pressing the on button several times in quick succession means you're probably dying.

YES.
I sincerely hope Senators and Representatives will now be forbidden from stock trading. People in these positions not only know what regulations, etc are about to affect a stock, they CREATE the regulations. I don't know how this deep insider trading is not already disallowed by Commissioner @HesterPeirce and the @SECgov. @realDonaldTrump

Well worth consideration. Fascinating that so many people don’t want to consider it. Worth reading.
I think very few people appreciate the incredible timing of DOGE, and how needed it is to ensure the US doesn't collapse unto itself. The US is about to undergo one of the most radical & disruptive changes it has experienced in its history, and DOGE is the most important step to ensure we can navigate it successfully. The advent of AI and automation is going to radically change everything - especially labor markets. We are going to move from humans doing most of today's work to AI and robots. And this change won't happen slowly - it will happen extremely quickly. AI systems can scale at the speed of a software update. AI powered robotic systems will scale at the speed of smartphone manufacturing. This means that labor markets will be completely different in 5-10 years' time. We need a responsive government - one that is extremely lean and extremely responsive to the will of the people - to navigate this profound change. Without DOGE, we would be stuck with a government that is slow, old, and too corrupt to properly navigate its citizenry to a good outcome. With DOGE, we maximize the changes of a responsive government that's aligned with the will of the people by removing all the barnacles that have latched onto it, sucking away taxpayer $, grinding everything to a halt, and distracting government from what it should be focusing on. This might be difficult to appreciate today, but it will become blindingly obvious by the end of the decade.

@elonmusk We need to talk about establishing that district judges being unable and disallowed from issuing national injunctions. They are not national institutions, they are not nationally elected.

@LakeCountry @TakeTheLMod @lostpatriotdad @EricLDaugh There are ways they can collect benefits without having to have a social security number.

@lovelycoconut @TakeTheLMod @lostpatriotdad @EricLDaugh Some probably pay in that don’t benefit while others benefit that don’t pay in.

@TakeTheLMod @lostpatriotdad @EricLDaugh Actually they can, depending how they apply and sometimes where. There will be a non-trivial number of illegal immigrants collecting SS. You may or may not be surprised but it happens.

@EricLDaugh Talk about engagement farming, dude. I’m pretty sure almost everybody who sees this post is going to agree. And I engaged. Damn good engagement farming, dammit.

True! Democrats should advocate for parents to have the right to sterilize and surgically alter their children in order to show off their boutique trans-child on social media. I can’t say it enough: THIS IS A WINNING MESSAGE. Parental Munchausen by Proxy Rights will be the linchpin issue of the 2026 midterms.
MSNBC host Chris Hayes tells Bill Maher that if parents want to abuse their children by mutilating them or giving them cross-sex hormones, the government has no right to step in and stop them - and that's the message the Democrats should use to win back power
