Once I had that constant stream of hate interrupted, my critical thinking skills started to revive. It's important for the right wing media to keep their listeners angry, because you won't stop to think if you're enraged. It's insanely effective at twisting good, kind folk.

It wasn't any one thing. The most important part was being removed from my Republican sphere of influence. I grew up immersed in Republican talk radio because my dad was deep into it. The effects of constant subtle propaganda did enormous harm to me during my formative years.
