I say this all the time but it bears repeating: we as Pittsburghers have been absolutely, totally, and completely spoiled to have this man represent our city for two decades. There will more than likely never be another like him.
A reporter asked Sidney Crosby if there's a problem with hockey's culture. Crosby said he didn't think this huge scrum of "15-second soundbites" was a good venue for such a topic, and said he'd be happy to talk privately with the reporter after. Then he actually did. Good on him.

Trading Neal for Hornqvist completely changed the culture of the Penguins for the better.
His motor never stopped and he was the heartbeat of those championship teams and when he was dealt the team absolutely lost it.

Evgeni Malkin has been a happy warrior as a 2C considering he’d be a franchise cornerstone anywhere else.
Dude’s won 3 cups, an MVP, scoring title, Conn Smythe, and been part of the best era in this franchise.
You pay him.
Finally settled that I’m willing to give Evgeni Malkin the extra year or two he wants. Willing to take $6m for 4 years? Let’s do it. I want to see Geno retire a Penguin, & I’m willing to accept some pain at the end (as we did with Ben/Steelers) to get the storybook ending.
