This is the physique of one of the fittest men in the world, Denis Vasilev. 185lb bodyweight, performed 101 consecutive reps of clean and jerk with a pair of 32kgs. He can apparently squat 100kg for a set of 100.

Peating is fun. Put gelatin and sugar in your coffee, use aspirin, and occasionally take a giant dose of a first generation antihistamine that makes you tired for four days because you saw some unhinged anon on the ray peat forum talk about it

The Lindy filter is legitimately the best heuristic for evaluating what's healthy. Even if it turns out I've been psyopped into eating a lot of grass fed bison, at least there's historical precedent for that. If you get psyopped into drinking nut milks, there's no hope for you

Another peat/Pavel correlation. Peat advocated for concentric exercise because of the anabolic effects. In Pavels “quick and the dead” routine, which is entirely concentric, swings and plyo pushups, test increases and cortisol decreases were observed in test subjects

Did two workouts in this style this week. The concept, at its core, is 4-6 swings or snatches on the minute for 30-40 minutes. Simple, but it explicitly trains the creatine phosphate system in quick bursts and allows it sufficient recovery. Notes:

This doesn't mean you must train super light, though. Short intense bursts with plenty of rest in between, known as "repeat training", allows you to deplete the efficient and powerful creatine phosphate system without generating lactic acid. A 1:4 work/rest ratio is ideal.
