Some of the responses to this are so uncharitable it’s just sad. As I posted recently, we Christians, regardless of conviction on this or other controversial issues, *must* be able to engage in civil and humble conversation. Mockery and demeaning are grossly unproductive.

In the Church of Sweden, whenever we say the name of Jesus Christ during service, we bow. During prayers, during Creeds, sometimes when singing. I’ve read it’s a Swedish thing but I cant confirm it. Does anyone else do this in their churches?

I've seen some Lutherans anathematize Baptists lately, specifically to pander to Papists. Your forefathers disagree. Walther, for one, acknowledged all "sects" who held to sola fide as corrupted, yet actual churches. In contrast, he rejected Rome as a false, antichrist church.

Many people need to hear this: Baptism saves (1 Pet. 3:19-22, Genesis 7:1, John 3:4-7 among others). Infants should be baptised (Matt. 19:14, Matt. 28:19, Acts 16:33, Genesis 7:7 among others).

Infant baptism is the orthodox Christian view because it is the summation of Scripture on the matter. There are very few doctrines that have a ”proof text” and treating the Bible like it has them in abundance is a reductive way of reading. Matt. 28:19 comes close, however.

Next is Confession of the (Nicene) Creed and Homily, at which the celebrant can remove his chasuble for preaching. If he is preaching only, surplice and stole are to be worn. A note is also made that if a layman is preaching, he should wear surplice or an alb. 6/11

”Therefore state it most simply thus, that the power, work, profit, fruit, and end of Baptism is this, namely, to save. For no one is baptized in order that he may become a prince, but, as the words declare, that he be saved.” - Martin Luther, LC 4:24

Doctrine of Justification by Faith all form, when confessed, a completeness that most other traditions lack. Confessional Anglicanism, when achived, has an evangelistic punch that I believe and hope and pray can reach so much wider then we even dare to dream.
