This! I had an ex act like this for YEARS and it terrified me and negatively affected my life. Unfortunately, a couple of my own girlfriends encouraged him and told me I was lucky because he “truly loved me”. To this day they still don’t understand why I ended our friendship

So, serious talk. I have found this to be the case for a LOT of Maga/conservative women in my experience. They are told do x,y, z because of religion and they’ll be safe and taken care of. They move from the emotional abuse of their fathers to that of their husbands.
