@primnimproper_ I left the hotel room when he was in the shower. The hotel manager saw me and hid me in her office. She said the moment we’d arrived she knew I was in trouble. She helped me escape. He tried to apologise years later and couldn’t even remember where it happened.

She took me to the bus station and kept him at the hotel to give me enough time to pack when I got home. I would give that woman anything for helping me, a stranger.
