@Greg_BHCSports A little trivia. I am 99.9% sure that in 1976 Luray upset Powell Valley in the Virginia Group A state championship basketball game. Powell Valley had won the state basketball championship in 1974. Only 49 years ago!!

@WCYB_DavidBoyd I believe this was the day of the Super Bowl with Washington and Raiders. I was in my power company career as lineman and while watching game I would cringe each time phone rang with a serious dread of working all night in those extremely cold temperatures!!

Haha During the Regional tournament at Powell Valley HS in Big Stone the PV athletic department assigned a person to be with each team. I was assigned the Thomas Walker team. What a pleasure. I was sophomore at PV.
