It still blows my mind that we took championship weekend away from a track with multiple groves and an aged surface and gave it to a parking lot with an LED cactus.
I'll be the first to tell you that an "At Ease" or "Parade Rest" stance is more than acceptable for the National Anthem. Hell, anything is acceptable because, well, that's the beauty of Freedom of Speech.
Also, some people need a damn hobby.
And this is why
@DaleJr
is a real sim racing OG. The fact that he not only remembered me, but noticed the huge change in my stream from a few years ago. I don't think us sim racers understand how lucky we are to have him. Thanks for stopping by, Dale!
Imagine moving into a trailer park next to a race track and across the road from an Air Force Base then having the audacity to complain about the noise.
That's all she wrote. Last day in the Navy. Had to capture the 2 ships that defined my entire career. Had quite the time on both the Enterprise and JFK with a few other commands sprinkled in, but today being the last day I put this uniform on is just wild. On to the real world!
My ex wife hated my sim racing. We had a custody hearing over Zoom on Friday night. I made sure to do it directly from my sim racing rig to establish dominance.
"Yeah, Rachel lets me have my own room for this thing!"
The eye roll alone was worth it 🤣
Ricky Stenhouse pounds a Buch at North Wilkesboro and it costs him $75k. I pounded like 20 Busch's at Darlington and I was out like $15. inflation is out of control.
I'm sad to say I've been denied NASCAR Media Credentials. Not because I applied for them, but I'm down to earth enough to know I'm just a dude with a camera and a microphone with a NASCAR aptitude that doesn't require Racing Reference or old YouTube clips for content.
Dale Earnhardt Jr's NBC TV contract ended after the 2023 season and he's currently working towards an extension or other options; has enjoyed his time in the booth
Fans: "we want raw emotion from drivers"
Media: *shoves mic into wrecked drivers face*
Driver *speaks his mind*
Fans: "Why would he say that?"
The NASCAR fanbase is weird. If the 48 and 11 had their roles reversed in that situation we'd have a completely different reaction.
I've had quite the challenging week and finally got the chance to get some
@iRacing
in tonight.
Never imagined it would result in hooking up with
@DaleJr
in Gen 4 SS cars battling for the win at Daytona. Sim racing can be the best if you let it. Thanks for the memories, Dale!
Just want to say....
I've been going to NASCAR races for almost 30 years. I've stuck with it through thick and thin. And just like I like my women..... things are getting a little thiccccer
Having
@DaleJr
send his fans over to watch me drink beer and be terrible at NASCAR was definitely the peak moment in my
@iRacing
career and I don't think it'll ever get any better than that.
I have been the biggest Negative Nancy about this new Atlanta, but I cannot believe the finish we just witnessed. I'm still at a loss for words and I need a drink
#NASCAR
If yall are wondering why
@dennyhamlin
is so mad about that move Larson made in the trivial yesterday, it's because it triggered his PTSD from 2 years ago when he got absolutely annihilated by me in A-Fixed
#suckstosuck
One of the coolest memories of my Navy career was when Carl Edwards came to visit us on the Enterprise while we were underway and signed my Logitech wheel and labeled the left direction for me 🤣
Listening to Sterling on the DJD this week got me to thinking about this. I was there. It was my 19th birthday. The stands were full and the crowd went nuts for that Silver Bullet car. We'll never be able to capture that mid 2000s NASCAR magic again. But it's a core memory.
Getting a Twitch raid from
@DaleJr
, hitting 7000 followers on Twitch, and raising over $500 for
@Mission22
in one night? I don't think it's possible to top that. Thank you Dale and everyone who made tonight a night to remember!
