Today, Class 2 and 3 went to Mass at St. Joseph's with the parishioners, parents and Canon Firth. For some this was their first visit due to Covid. They listened really well. Thank you to our parents who came and helped the children.

Look at our new sensory and prayer garden taking shape. It will be a special area for everyone to sit and enjoy. We can't wait to see the finished job. A parishioner called 'Peggy' Humphreys has been so kind to leave some money for this. The garden will be named in her memory.

visited today to present the children with the International Eco-Schools award for achieving the Green Flag Award. Our Ecool club and Mrs Catlow have been instrumental in achieving this and we are thrilled to have our school recognised.
This Year 2 collected some stones whilst on a walk and used them as part of her topic on Stonehenge. She's hoping to visit there one day too with her family. Superb work!😀
St. Joseph's School is officially a Green Flag school! The assessment which took place today recognised all the hard work in school to become eco friendly and look after our environment. Thank you to the Ecool club and Mrs Catlow for all their contributions. We are very proud!
Class 5 watched the assembly by CAFOD about harvest. We then collected leaves from outside and created artwork based upon harvest and Autumn and wrote prayers to put on our Class Prayer Tree.

Today a special event happened. Miss Shekleton, soon to be married went through school as we sang ' Here comes the bride!' We wish her the very best and many years of happiness with her husband to be.

Today we attended Mass at St. Joseph's with our Parish and families to celebrate the start of the school year on this feast day of The Cross. Class 4 re-enacted the First reading and children in Class 5 led the readings and bidding prayers.

Our Year 6 children got a surprise today - a PIZZA PARTY from MARIOS!!! A very celebration of their final week. They were absolutely shocked!! Thank you so much for organising - they said, "This is the best day ever!"

Year 5&6 have been working with the Coram Shakespeare Foundation (

) to understand and perform 'Macbeth'. This week, they looked at the play and began to understand the personalities of each character. They created freeze frames to capture the plot points.
