@KanvasFabAuthr File drag and drop is the easiest way to do mods in general but the problem is how so many mods are version dependent, have strange comparability issues, how hard it is to set up multiplayer for some stuff, etc. Meanwhile Half Life mods are easy as hell because they’re supported.
