Can finally share my work on Saving Bikini Bottom! This was my first professional gig as a junior and admittedly, I look back, wishing I could've done more!
I'm immensely grateful to my anim supervisor Jeff and crew for allowing me this opportunity to kick off my career 🧽🐿️
Saving Bikini Bottom releases today!! I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have helped out with some revisions and plussing--it's so surreal to think I have a movie under my belt. It was a great experience and really helped make me a much more confident artist!

People that are stuck on this conspiracy: No company makes merchandise for a ‘publicity stunt’. So much money must’ve gone into conceptual work and production for these products. Paramount didn’t just give them a crisp $5 and say, “hey man could you do me a solid”.

..Y’know the artists don’t make the call on that pipeline stuff right? It’s a decision made by the company ordering the show.
If 3D animators were hired onto something and it was suddenly decided the show was going to be in 2D, many of those artists would be fish out of water.

First I tried doing the effect manually in After Effects with a janky roto brush, but even that came out too cleanly. So I just opted to run it through Zoom and let the nasty background removal work its magic 🪄

So there’s an art book included with the physical version of Sonic Mania Plus. One of the sections showcases each sprite on the title screen Sonic animation. Used the vine app to make this for fun 🤷♂️

We lack definitive proof on both. So why would they have created several animated scenes and merch? You ‘could’ say publicity. But in VFX I’ve had higher ups suddenly change visual direction, rendering a lot of work unusable. To me, that’s a more belivible cause of action.

Kind of a catch 22 cause rebranding changes that original promise atleast as much as asking for money would. I’d argue even more so since that essentially made this no longer a Mother game.
