@jcdav @devinzander ...which is exactly something they could be doing. The state could start preempting local land use laws that restrict housing supply. Cities only have the powers that states give them, and state government could force cities to get out of the way.

@the_UrbanWolf People already with homes whine to city councils because they don't want other people to have homes near them.

@bikelakecity @devinzander We're going to eventually electrify the line and wonder why we didn't do it decades prior. Just look at Caltrain. People are loving the new electrified service there.

@RSLRandomFan @realsaltlake Eh. Seeing Chicho regress to the floor flopping waste of space that he was when he first arrived makes me not bothered. Something happened, and it wasn't working for too long during the second half of the season. He'll be happier in San Jose.

@Riddle_Lincoln Dude, sliding on snow is the best. Any amount of sliding is better than not sliding. Ignore the vert-bros.

@SolitudeMTN Fools are gonna run their mouths. Solitude knows what it's doing and I have no beef with how things are running up there. Keep up the good work and I look forward to more good days up there!

@liftblog Imagine playing hardball to avoid paying your most important employees the same wage as the ski area right next door. Wild stuff.

@the_transit_guy No Amtrak trips this year? Long vacation trips I can see excluding, but any reasonably close train trips that many might drive should be included.

@wanderingdave Yeah I've seen folks online complain, essentially, that this won't help everyone. Which just feels like an insane objection. It will obviously help some, and if we just keep helping more people, we'll make the world a better place incrementally. Baby steps in the right direction.

@sparkmanpatriot How dare people need places to live. Utterly selfish of people to want to live near decent jobs, near pro sports, near a decent doctor and hospital. Kids these days just aren't willing to make the hard sacrifice.
