Shocked to see how much wider BRT construction has made Harrison in Ogden. (You now have to cross the equivalent of 10 lanes of traffic!) If you’re improving transit while simultaneously making walkability worse you’re shooting yourself in the foot

How lovely is this? This #tram in Barcelona fits naturally into its surroundings, is sleek, silent, reliable and comfortable. On the right is a park, ahead is a university and to the left are cafés and housing. Everything interacts harmoniously. #publictransit

It was only 8–13 years ago that UDOT widened the road through here. Now, in the year 2023, they want to do it all over again. An absolute joke of a plan that widens the freeway from 8 lanes to 12 right next to neighborhoods that need anything but more pollution.

Been reminded that UDOT gave us two awful options from the start: 1) a gondola that only stops at the resorts, and 2) widening the road for an "express" bus that only stops at the resorts The fact that a Zion-style shuttle on the existing two-lane road wasn't an option is absurd

Blown away to find out about this. On one hand, it's dope how this infuses downtown with green space and makes it less car-oriented. (The land bridges over State and 2nd West are 🔥🔥.) But I'm astonished and at a loss that this proposal simply does away with COB/JSMB/CAB.

Same thing’s happened to 4th South, 35th South, University Pkwy. These streets weren’t walkable before, but instead of fully leveraging the investment in transit and making it easier to walk to stations the very opposite was done. A damn shame.
