Another argument you could use for your meeting is that $42,000 goes against the 8th Amendment of the Constitution, which forbids "excessive fines". A fine is excessive when it is grossly disproportionate to the gravity of the offense that it was designed to punish.

Thing is with the OSB look at the last age verification law for websites it was delayed over and over again until it was scraped because they just could not find a way to get it up and running the UK agreed on a Data adequacy decision so its likely the UK will not get rid of GDPR

Also some have pointed out they may be using a common practice where horrendous new terms are leaked (intentionally) so that when the actual terms are announced, they seem acceptable to us, when we wouldn't have settled on them if they were the first terms we saw.

There now two versions of the bill that have to be passed and there may be amendments to each bill meaning that both bill may be combined.
Its going to be hard to pass both bills by spring.

This is very good news either way, and even if you agree with KOSA or not it should not be fast tracked via a unrelated bill about the FAA and air travel. It just make it's look like they don't want the bill to be fully debated.

You can toggle your channel at a General Audience setting, without reviewing all of there videos once more. If your channel is for a General Audience, click NOT FOR KIDS. Many have already done that. And the FTC has said they are not going to sue anyone.

The whole bill is such a unworkable mess that it is likely to collapse under its own weight just look at the last UK age verification law that was delayed over and over again until it was quietly scrapped. Ofcom will struggle to enforce most of the bill.

I guess we will have to see what happens at the Mark up, I still have a lot of worries but I do have to remind everyone even if KOSA is pass in a bad state it will not come fully into force until 18 months later.
