I would go so far as to say one of the ultimate driving forces of conservative resentment that fuels Trump is that conservatives want their own celebrity culture that dictates the broader way in which people live. They love Hollywood and they want their own version.

People have said this before and I'll say this again: one of the most underrated and undertalked about reasons why Trump has become such a permanent political figure is because he is a FAMOUS CELEBRITY. Conservatives like to pretend they're above celebrity worship but they're not
