If your wife is sleep deprived and stressed bc she's busy all the time, particularly if you're not doing anything to ease her burden, she's not going to want to put out.
That's not even factoring the resentment of the not helping or making things harder.

As a designer she can screw herself.
Beyond a certain point it's literally impossible to produce the same clothes in a larger size because the fabric isn't wide enough to fit the pattern pieces.
Plus their stuff is a net loss unless you charge more, which ofc they also protest.

It gets very uncomfortable sitting for an extended period of time, the arms are too high for good BFing position, and they're difficult to get out of without waking the baby, especially if you're short.

Nah. Even in the fatter Southern states most people weren't overweight in the 90s.
An overweight kid especially was pretty rare.
I would say I noticed a shift in the early 2000s. I'm guessing it probably has something to do with tech/jobs incentivising a sedentary life.
