Got a lot of time for him but if the players and manage think the performance was good before and after Slovakia’s goal and controlled the game we have no hope for positive change. We were utterly abysmal first half. Glad we’re through and we go again but things need to improve!

Sadly I don’t share your enthusiasm. I don’t say that lightly. I just felt that was not a great watch. Horse finished spring heeled and 3 cross country horses in behind. More like a staying hurdle race. Agree to disagree but it’s definitely lost its magic for me.

Those arguing 20 horses had a chance 2 out have misread it entirely. Yes 20 were seemingly in contention, but as it is no longer a real test of stamina / attrition, the top horses all pulled away as they will do year in year out from now on. For me that is too much of a negative
