My Dad, my hero, would have been 90 today. A civil servant, he loved his racing and was delighted to help @weatherbysltd set up the ownership VAT scheme after his retirement. I miss chatting to him and hearing his wisdom and humour ❤️

Lots of tributes paid to Edward Hide who has left us at 86. Many years ago helped write his memoirs “Nothing To Hide”. He was a one-off and I doubt there have been many with as sharp a racing brain to have enjoyed the success that he did in the saddle.

The IHRB has banned trainer Gordon Elliott for 12 months, with six months of the ban suspended. Elliott has also been fined €15,000 after he was found guilty of bringing racing into disrepute.
