@SupaCouchPotato @Charlie23082 I thought so too. I looked and couldn't see him over $700K at any stage. Weird. The magic number makes it very hard to reach $700K in season. The year Neale got to $760K he averaged 147 for the first 6 weeks .

@SupaCouchPotato @Charlie23082 From memory theres been at least 3 Bont - Gawn and Neale. Bont ( 2024) and Gawn (2021) have both started seasons over $700k and Neale hit a high price of $763.800 round 5 2023.

@DidakDT Nice thinking, I had Wilkie in a draft side in 2023 and he was great. I actually don't mind Battle either, with Sicily's role unclear, there's points in the Hawks backline. Could be a draft smokey.

@PatchToTheMax I actually like the Merrett pick, And without seeing the rest of your team its hard to judge. I just feel "value " is what elevates teams now. With 40 trades its a different game. last years winner came from a Fantasy background, time's are a changing.

@PatchToTheMax Really ? if you spend up on Ubers that money is not there to spend in other areas of you team. Maybe you need a cheaper rookie that makes less cash or you miss a mid pricer and have a rookie score on field instead. Of course $ matters

@SupercoachHQ @PatchToTheMax I think there's possible reasons to start an early Bye player, I just like to know peoples reasons, Someone like Whitfield is fascinating as I don't like a heap of Def Premo's and I can see it working.

@PatchToTheMax I believe we now have 40 trades so the abitly to trade into the Ubers at their lower price is easier than ever. I'm hunting Value without the early Bye. This strategy won last year.

@Harleysporttalk He's traditionally been a guy thats starts slow and then goes banana's in the second half of the year. He bucked that trend last season. Perhaps we are slow to catch on to the fact he could start well again this season.
