@chenweihua @jensstoltenberg @ZelenskyyUa NATO didn't "expand eastward". When abused nations finally escaped the Soviet Union's (Russia's) grasp, they ran to friendly neighbors and asked to be let in. "Russophobia" is earned.

@yasminalombaert My wife was right. A week into the war, she said "We should just bomb the shit out of Moscow and kill Putin." She's not particularly informed in terms of geopolitics or war fighting, but I feel like her heart was in the right place. She's an awesome chick.

Some assholes like bragging that "Ukraine can't beat Russia without NATO." These are literally people who idolize bullies. Most are probably Russian but it also fits the MAGA mindset. She's smaller. We should help her & not just by giving her weapons. NATO should intervene.

@DietmarPichler1 Nobody owes Russia a sphere of influence. Nobody owes Russia a neutral Ukraine. Historical Russian abuse has driven all of its neighbors from its orbit. NATO has not "expanded eastward". Nations east of NATO fled westward for protection and normalcy.

@oleksiireznikov We appreciate the thanks, but please know that many of us are quite frustrated with the slow pace of aid and the unwillingness to supply ATACMS as well as cluster munitions for HIMARS launchers. And much else. Our response, while big, has been disappointing. Very disappointing.

@Porlocking @randymot4 @mattgaetz I suspect not. The Russian narrative paints Ukrainians as the little brother to big brother Russia, but in fact the reverse is true. Ukrainian identity predates Russian identity. "Ukraine is part of Russia" is a fabrication meant to justify Russian imperialism.

@AthisSteel26024 "The Ukraine" implies it's a region such as "the South". We don't say "the Russia" or "the Mexico". There are some obvious exceptions (US, UK) but Ukraine isn't one of them. Ukraine is a country whose borders Russia recognized in 91 & 94. Plus this:
