Every single workplace accident, car accident, pedestrian death etc is investigated by the police and a ruling made by the coroner. This is standard practice & does not mean that there are suspicions of any sinister behaviour.
This needs to be said: an investigation is standard procedure.
It’s not because of suspicion. It is due diligence after the premature death of a healthy young person by a reportable cause.
The purpose is not to assign blame, but to prevent re-occurrence.

Well that is the first time I’ve seen a police presence at a hockey game in the UK. More than 12 uniformed officers overlooking the Katowice, Poland fans. Thankfully it looked precautionary and both sets of fans treated each other with respect. Great atmosphere.
